You should also back up your system, not just the data. Or use the cloud, in the form of Google Docs or online document storage. You can use a physical backup such as an external hard drive or a thumb drive. You can set up a weekly routine to ensure that if something happens to your computer – it dies, someone spills coffee on it, someone takes the wrong computer at the security checkpoint, or whatever – you haven’t lost the data. You’ve probably been told to back up your data, and this is very important. Do some preventative maintenance on a regular basis for your software.
